Cebu City – Twenty-Five (25) Agriculture Extension Workers, Learning Sites for Agriculture Operators and Academe practitioners from the four provinces of Region VII participated the Safer Food, Better Health: A Food Safety and GMP Training at MJ Hotel & Suites on April 19-21, 2022, this City.
Negros Oriental – a third batch of Training of Trainer (TOT) on Corn Production Technologies for AEWs was conducted on April 19 – 21, 2022 at the Manhattan Suites Inn, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Tagbilaran City, Bohol – Republic Act 10068, also known as the Organic Agriculture Act, outlines the policy to promote, propagate, develop further and supplement the practice of organic agriculture in the Philippines.
Negros Oriental – The Agricultural Training Institute, as the capacity builder, knowledge bank, and catalyst of extension, is mandated to train agricultural extension workers and lead in the delivery of extension services for agriculture and fisheries. The ATI continues to organize capacity development strategies for AEWs.
Bohol - On March 21 to April 1, 2022, a Training of Trainers on Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice, Seed Certification, and Farm Mechanization was conducted in Labonite Family Farm, San Isidro, Pilar, Bohol.
Tagbilaran City – In celebration of the 2022 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC), the Agricultural Training Institute Regional Training Center 7 conducted a Gender-based Training on Health and Wellness among its employees on March 8 – 10, 2022 at Green Thumb Farm, Corella, Bohol. The said activity commenced on March 8, 2022 as that day was also the National Women’s Day.
Bohol – The organic agriculture which is anchored on the principles of care, ecology, health and fairness, also provides economic opportunities for beginning, and small and mid-scale family farmers as they help build strong rural communities and that includes the indigenous communities. Most of these groups depend on agriculture for subsistence.
Negros Oriental - In 2020, the Republic Act No. 11511 or the Act Amending RA 10068 (Organic Agriculture Act of 2010) was enacted to recognize the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) as an option for organic certification.
Cebu – The second batch of the Training of Trainers (TOT) on Corn Production Technologies for AEWs was conducted on March 22 – 24, 2022 at Diamond Suites & Residences, Escario St., Cebu City, Cebu.
Tagbilaran City – a Training of Trainer (TOT) on Corn Production Technologies for AEWs was conducted on 2 – 4 March 2022 at B&J Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
