TAGBILARAN CITY – The Agricultural Training Institute in Central Visayas successfully conducted the Digital Agriculture Course for Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (DAC-RCEF)-Regional Training of Trainers Batch 1 via zoom last October 12-14, 2021.

The local government unit of Catigbian through the Municipal Agriculture’s Office (MAO), headed by Municipal Agriculturist, Lorna Perenio, requested the ATI RTC 7 to conduct a training on Capacity Enhancement on Extension Delivery Services for Agricultural Extension Workers.

Hence, it is important to recognize their contribution towards community building.
Negros Oriental – On 21 – 23 September 2021, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Regional Training Center (RTC) in Central Visayas conducted the Capacity Enhancement on the Operations of Composting Facilities for Biodegradable Wastes (CFBW) training in partnership with the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM).

On 21 – 23 September 2021, a Training on Livestock-Based Production for Indigenous People (IP) was conducted in Isla Verde, Poblacion, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental.
Ubay, Bohol – The National Corn and Cassava Program is one of the banner programs of the Department of Agriculture that aims to increase the production of quality corn and cassava for human consumption, feeds, and industrial uses as well as empower corn and cassava farmers.
Cebu – Information, education and communication (IEC) has become an effective medium for bringing awareness, providing information, and making change. Hence, it is important to equip agricultural extension workers (AEWs) with knowledge and skills on how to package and develop IEC materials.

Cebu – On top of capacitating agricultural extension workers, farmer leaders can do agricultural extension activities which provide agricultural information and technology to other farmers through their associations too. Hence, it is important to capacitate them with agricultural technology including the development and implementation of effective rice pest management strategies.
