Increasing cassava yield thru farmer extension support

Siquijor – There has been a significant decline in the cassava production in the country, and it has been the aim of the Department of Agriculture to increase the production of quality corn and cassava for human consumption, feeds, and industrial uses as well as empower corn and cassava farmers. Hence, there is a need to capacitate the farmers.

ATI-7 now certified CPD provider

Tagbilaran City – Three (3) agriculture related trainings of the Agricultural Training Institute- Region VII (ATI-7) are now accredited with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Agriculturist of the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC), making the institution a certified Service Provider by PRC Bohol on July 26, 2021.

Implementation of ineffective farming technologies is one of the factors that will lead to decreased income and even make farms unproductive. To ensure productivity, AEWs are in need of training on appropriate technologies of which they can pass on to the farmers.
