With the ageing population of Filipino farmers, there is a need to harness the skills and competence of youth in agriculture for the next generation of farmers.
In an effort to gain insights and draw lessons from the Unified National Artificial Insemination Program (UNAIP) activities, ATI 7 AI Coordinator Jun Oliver participated in the 2017 UNAIP Midyear Assessment and Planning Workshop at Cebu Business Hotel, Cebu City on Aug. 2-3, 2017.

As an initial step in the pursuit to make the lone district of Siquijor as an Organic Capital in the country, a total of 29 graduates composed of Agricultural Extension Workers, DepEd Teachers and Barangay Agricultural Technicians of Siquijor completed the Appreciation Course on Organic Agriculture at the Department of Education Training Center, Solangon, San Juan, Siquijor last July 25-27, 201
Dr. Ramon A. Taroc, Provincial Agriculturist of Siquijor said that the farmers and teachers must utilize the programs and projects initiated by the Agricultural Training Institute to improve their agricultural systems in their respective schools and farms.
The Agricultural Training Institute- Regional Training Center 7(ATI-RTC7) launched the 9th batch of Adopt-a- Farm Youth (Adopt a 4-H) Program on July 25, 2017 at Elnard’s Organic Farm, Candura, San Juan, Siquijor. Five (5) 4-Her’s coming from Bohol, Siquior, Negros Oriental and Cebu participated in the said program.
