BOHOL. – The Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) Program of the Department of Agriculture through the Agricultural Training Institute selects this province as one of the pilot sites particularly in barangay Tultogan in the municipality of Calape.
The collaborative effort was finalized last June 19, 2017 at the office of the Local Chief Executive in Calape this province spearheaded by Mayor Nelson N. Yu together with representatives from the Climate Risk Reduction Network (CRRN), Emiliano M. Romero, Provincial Manager of PCA-Bohol; Mildred E. Montecillo, Planning Officer I of DA-RFO 7; Ma. Gracia S. Pungay, Media Production Specialist II and Joemelyn S. Allianic, Regional Climate Change Focal Person of ATI-RTC 7.
Also present during the courtesy call cum launching were Municipal Councilor Gerry Regalado, Chair, Committee on Agriculture and Fishery, Municipal Agriculturist Elizabeth Cortes and Agricultural Extension Worker, Teresita J. Penticase.
By choosing said barangay, a baseline profiling, and vulnerability assessment will be conducted in order to identify priority projects that these beneficiaries will be served for the period of one (1) year and for them to sustain even after the termination of the project.
