Nominate Your Heroes through SOV

The Search for Outstanding Volunteers (SOV) is now accepting nominations for the 2019 national awards. Help us share the story of dedication, hard work, and selflessness of volunteers in the country. Let us make their voice heard to inspire Filipinos in every walks of life to rekindle the spirit of bayanihan which runs through our veins.

Volunteers are dynamic partners of the government in providing service and assistance to the marginalized and vulnerable sectors of society. SOV is an annual search that aims to recognize volunteers and their exemplary performance and achievements in empowering communities and promoting volunteerism as a way of life and for their exceptional contribution to national development agenda of the government.

SOV gives award to individuals and organizations that has significantly left an impact through their volunteer service or program. The categories for this Search are: (1) Individual – Youth and Adult; (2) Organization – Not-for-Profit and Corporate, (3) Special Award for Local Government Units (LGUs), and (4) Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nomination is open to the public and may be submitted to your respective SOV Regional Search Committee chaired by NEDA Regional Offices and the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO) for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). For the National Capital Region (NCR), nominations may be submitted to the Department of the Interior and Local Government NCR (DILG-NCR) or the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA). The deadline for submission of nomination is on 15 July 2019. Nominations submitted beyond the deadline will be automatically considered for the subsequent year. Self-nomination is not allowed.

PNVSCA with the assistance of the National Volunteer Month Steering Committee (NVM-SC) leads the conferment of awards every December as the centerpiece activity for NVM.
