NRAM 2018 Addresses Gap Between Producers, Consumers

Posted by:

The Department of Agriculture, through its bureaus and attached agencies, celebrates the National Rice Awareness Month (NRAM) every November pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 524 Series of 2014.

NRAM aims to encourage every Filipino to do their small share of RICEponsibility by valuing grain of rice and eating healthier rice to benefit themselves, other consumers, rice farmers, and the country as a whole.

With the theme "Quality rice, quality life", this year’s celebration aims to bridge the gap between producers and consumers. It intends to showcase the value of quality rice in advancing the life of rice farmers, consumers, and all others who depend on rice.

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) will participate in the month-long celebration through free seminars and rice-related exhibit featuring sustainability and conservation, health and nutrition, farming, rice recipes, and fun facts. These will be held at the ATI Central Office compound on November 5-9, 2018.
