ATI is now a Continuing Professional Development Provider.

MANILA, Philippines—The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is now accredited as a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Provider by the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) Council of Agriculture.

In the certificate signed by CPD Council of Agriculture chairperson Nora Inciong, ATI’s accreditation was issued through Resolution No. 1032, Series of 2017. It is in accordance with the implementing rules and regulation of Republic Act No. 10912 otherwise known as the CPD Act of 2016.

The accreditation, which is effective until March 2021, covers all agriculture-related activities of the Institute including training, seminars, expository tours, among others.

On May 29, a Stakeholders Forum on the CPD Operational Guidelines of Agriculture was held to finalize the credit units and other requirements and procedures under the professional, academic, and self-directed tracks and other agriculture-related activities. Representing the ATI at the forum were Elsa Parot and Sherrie Dreje of the Partnerships and Accreditation Division (PAD) and Romeo Rodil of the Regional Training Center IV-A.

The ATI-PAD is set to conduct an orientation on the final set of guidelines which will be released later this June. ATI is one of the 10 CPD Providers for agriculture in the country which also include private institutions and state universities and colleges.
