ATI Accredited Extension Service Providers Distribute Plant Seedlings in their Respective Communities

Posted by:

Accredited extension service providers of the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute led the distribution of ready-to-plant seedlings to household and individuals in their respective communities. This is under the Institute’s Binhi para sa Pamayanan Program to efficiently deliver and eventually sustain the implementation of the Urban Agriculture Program nationwide.

Flor’s Garden and Nature Haven, Inc. distributed plant seedlings last January 18, 2021 to selected members of the Touch Glory Prayer Mountain Community in Antipolo City as received by Pastor Charlie Evangelista with their church worker. The seedlings will be planted in Sitio Tanza with the help of the barangay councils.

Terra Verde Ecofarm Inc. also distributed ready-to-plant seedlings last January 11, 2021 with the support of frontliners from the PNP-Maragondon, barangay health workers, local public school teachers, senior citizens of Barangay Pantihan 2, Maragondon plantitos and plantitas and 4-H Club of Cavite.

The Binhi ng Pamayanan Program is a shared responsibility of the ATI and its extension service providers geared towards food security especially during the health crisis where families are encouraged to plant vegetables using their available space and/or containers.
