QUEZON CITY, Philippines – As the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) continues to pursue the delivery of its extension services online, it has recently collaborated with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PEC) – Go Negosyo for the conduct of the Kapatid Agri Mentor Me Program (KAMMP) Online.
This is an existing joint-program of the PEC-GoNegosyo and the Department of Agriculture (DA). It aims to sustain and scale up agri-business in the country through mentorship. Industry practitioners serve as mentors that provide assistance to existing, and aspiring agri-preneurs through knowledge-sharing activities. Given the limitations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, KAMMP Online utilizes these mentorship modules, delivered through online means.
KAMMP Online is targeted towards agri-preneurs, youth, agricultural enterprises/cooperatives, and associations. Fifteen (15) batches of the program is expected to be rolled out by the end of 2020, with at least 850 graduate-mentees. Every ATI Regional Training Center (RTC) shall be conducting one batch of the program between August to December 2020. Each batch will run for seven weeks, with two days’ worth of sessions per week. Some of the sessions will include topics on entrepreneurial mind-setting and values formation; digital marketing; accounting basics; and business plan development.
With this, Go Negosyo is hosting a webinar, Kumita sa Agri-Negosyo, with the theme “Agribusiness in the New Normal: How to Start, How to Scale Up, The Challenges, and Opportunities” on July 31, 2020 via Zoom. DA Secretary William Dar and Go Negosyo Founder, Mr. Joey Concepcion, will serve as speakers during the webinar. The KAMMP Online will be launched during the said activity.
