ATI Calabarzon holds TOT on RCEF under New Normal

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - In support to the Republic Act No. 11203 otherwise known as the "Rice Tariffication Law," the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) in Calabarzon rolls out the first Training of Trainers (TOT) on Rice Competitive Enhancement Fund (RCEF).

The training follows the standard protocols on social distancing, wearing of masks and frequent hand washing to ensure prime health and safety of the participants and trainers.

The participants in this training are Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) cooperators, farm school owner, farmers, Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and farm owners from regions II - V.

The TOT covers topics on transformational leadership, Rice Liberalization Law, rice morphology and growth stages, PalayCheck System and social technologies such as presentation skills and principles of adult learning, among others.

By the end of the 10-day training, participants are required to accomplish their action plans, detailing how they intend to cascade the knowledge and new skills acquired from the training.

The "Training of Trainers on Production of High Quality Inbred Rice Seeds and Farm Mechanization" is being held in Villar SIPAG Foundation and ATI IV-A Training Complex, in coordination with TESDA, PhilRice and DA-PhilMech from July 13 - 21, 2020.
