June is Soil Conservation Month

The Agricultural Training Institute is one with the nation in the observance of Soil Conservation Month.

As part of the Department of Agriculture's (DA) efforts to advocate awareness and consciousness of conserving soils in our country, the Department issued the Administrative Order No. 16 Series of 2007 to annually dedicate the month of June to promote the conservation, development, and management of soil and water as important resources for sustainable agricultural development.

Led by the Bureau of Soil and Water Management, this year's theme is "Conserve and value our soil. Keep it productive." This event is also in line with the observance of the World Day to Combat Desertification on June 17, 2018.
