Panagyaman Rice Festival Highlights Successes of Rice Farmers

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) joins the nation in the celebration of Panagyaman Rice Festival this April.

Pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation No. 606, s.2004, the Panagyaman Rice Festival is celebrated to recognize the contributions and successes of small farmers who have been the backbone in the campaign for a hunger-free Philippines. April marks the beginning of harvesting for rice and other food crops during dry season, a period that gives significance to the nationwide festivities in May and June.

For over 30 years, the ATI has been providing extension programs and services to our farmers. These include Learning Sites for Practical Agriculture, Farm Tourism Sites, Rice Crop Manager, and e-Farming, among others, which are aimed at providing farmers avenues to learn and improve their practices and, eventually, increase their income.
