The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) is one with the nation in the celebration of the Filipino Food Month (FFM) this April.
The celebration aims to promote, preserve, and ensure the transmission of the vast culinary traditions and treasures of the country for future generations. This is also to support those who produce food from the various industries, like farmers and agricommunities.
This year’s celebration underlines "Tara na at mag salo-salo; Iba't Ibang Luto, Pinoy ang Puso" which embodies the month-long showcase and appreciation of food from different regions, generations, and ethnic groups in the country.
Everyone is encouraged to take part in the celebration with their own local and native dishes and by patronizing products of Filipino farmers and fishers.
For farmers' produce sold at a lower price, make sure to watch out for “KADIWA ni Ani at Kita” which rolls out in different offices in Metro Manila and other parts of the country. Visit the ATI Central Office at Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City this April 1-3 and buy fresh farm products as part of KADIWA.
Spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement, FFM is celebrated every April by virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 469, which was signed in 2018.
