The Agricultural Training Institute is one with the nation in celebrating the gains achieved in gender equality and women’s empowerment this Women’s Month. 

Culminating the six-year recurring theme “WE Make CHANGE Work for Women”, the 2022 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) will focus on Filipino women or Juanas exercising their choices, taking chances to make their voices heard, and benefitting from and trailblazing changes. 

The role and contribution of small-scale fishers, fish workers, and aquaculturists to the nation is one of the highlights of this year’s international occasions observed by the United Nations (UN).

Declared as the International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA) by the UN General Assembly, 2022 will be an opportunity to showcase the importance of small-scale artisanal fisheries and aquaculture for the nation’s food systems, livelihood, culture, and the environment.

Around 200 representatives from farmers organizations, government agencies, and civil society groups convened for a two-day knowledge exchange and discussion of best practices in agriculture and rural development during the pandemic.

The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) bagged the Outstanding Extension Project Award for its Digital Farmers Program (DFP) during the 2021 Virtual Philippine Extension and Advisory Services Network (PhilEASNet) Biennial AFFNR Extension Symposium.

The efforts of the Agricultural Training Institute and Smart Communications, Inc. to empower farmers through mobile and internet literacy was recognized recently at the 18^th Philippine Quill Awards.
