This was highlighted by two women farmers from Nueva Ecija, who served as guest experts during the Agri Asenso radio program of the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) and DZRH last March 5.
Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) Farm School owners Fern Sebastian and Nina Resplandor, of Myriad Farms in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, said that various government interventions and resources in the sector are now gender inclusive.
A total of 77,052 beneficiaries from 57 provinces benefited from the knowledge gained from training and other capability-enhancement initiatives of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund - Rice Extension Services Program (RCEF-RESP) in 2021.
The Agricultural Training Institute is one with the nation in celebrating the gains achieved in gender equality and women’s empowerment this Women’s Month.
Culminating the six-year recurring theme “WE Make CHANGE Work for Women”, the 2022 National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) will focus on Filipino women or Juanas exercising their choices, taking chances to make their voices heard, and benefitting from and trailblazing changes.
