ATI CALABARZON: Fostering Harmony in the Region

CALABARZON - Consultation, be it in the field of business, education, or medicine, is vital, as it serves as an avenue to determine problems or needs, and come up with a plan of action for attaining goals. Agricultural Training Institute in CALABARZON conducts consultative meetings annually, with the aim of harmonizing trainings and activities for the Agri-Fishery Extension in the region.

Last January 13, 2021, the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit (PMEU) of the Center conducted a consultation in Binangonan, Rizal. It was attended by Municipal Agriculturists (MAs) and their representatives from the different municipalities of the province. Ms. Iluminada Olvida, Supervising Agriculturist, hosted the said activity. Similarly, on January 21, 2021, PMEU met with the MAs of Quezon Province in a Planning Workshop organized by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist spearheaded by Assistant Provincial Agriculturist, Ms. Redempta dR. Querubin,.

On both occasions, PMEU presented the 2021 activities of the Center and encouraged the MAs to provide participants for the scheduled activities. The activity was also an opportunity to present trainings for 2022 which are intended to further capacitate the AEWs in their locality. Through these consultations, ATI CALABARZON will be able to strategize and support the goal of the Department to “survive, reboot and grow” in 2021 and beyond, as we work together with the pillars of extension in accelerating the transformation towards a modern and industrialized agriculture in the region.
