To strengthen the promotion of urban agriculture and agritourism in the region, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON in partnership with Agripreneur of GMA 7 feature three (3) certified Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) namely Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure in Nagcarlan, Laguna; Yumi’s Farm in Tayabas City and Bunch Farm in Lucena City in Quezon province. Moreover, it promotes the LSAs of ATI CaLaBaRZon and ATI as a whole.
Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure highlighted the farm to table concept, serving specialty cuisine from their fresh farm produce like ‘menudong gulay’. The three (3)-hectare organic farm is also the home of various high value crops. Whilst, Yumi’s Farm advocates organic farming for a healthier lifestyle. Situated at the foot of Mt. Banahaw, the farm induces cool and breezy weather. Different farm activities are featured in the three (3)-hectare integrated organic farm including farm tours, farm to table menu, camping and fireflies hunting for kids. On the other hand, Bunch Farm promotes urban gardening. In fact, around 30,000 seeds and seedlings were distributed by Engr. Sanny Buncha, owner of Bunch Farm, in nearby areas since the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine to address food security and availability amidst the threat of Covid-19 pandemic. It is also in support of the Plant, Plant, Plant program of the Department of Agriculture.
Aside from the three (3) farm, another nine (9) certified LSAs of ATI CaLaBaRZon will be produced in partnership with Agripreneur. Segments premiere every Saturday, 5:30 am, in GMA 7. Bunch Farm will air this August 22, 2020. Gintong Bukid Farm and Leisure and Yumi’s already paved way through the Agripreneur TV program on August 8 and 15, 2020, respectively.
