AgriKuwento Encourages More Farming Enthusiasts

Top 1 winning video entry of Michael Triviño from Lucena City, Quezon

With the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to Corona Virus Disease 2019 or Covid-19, most are encouraged to establish backyard or container gardens in respective residences for food availability. Some are engaged in online activities and work using various social media and e-learning platforms. Through AgriKuwento, residents of CaLaBaRZon share their personal experiences in home gardening through a one to two-minute short story video.

A total of 23 videos were posted in ATI CaLaBaRZon official Facebook page as official entries for AgriKuwento Batch 2. Five (5) video entries with the highest percentage of scores win the AgriKuwento Batch 2 contest. The criteria for judging are 50 % most likes, 25 % story and 25 % creativity in video. Winners will receive prepaid load card as prizes.

AgriKuwento is an online video contest aims to promote urban agriculture in the region. It also supports the Plant. Plant. Plant. Program of the Department of Agriculture. AgriKuwento hopes to inspire individual to start home gardening for food availability and security.
