ATI leads training on making farming enterprises profitable

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - The Agricultural Training Institute in CALABARZON continues to capacitate farm owners and cooperative members in making their farming enterprises and farm operations more profitable and responsive to market demands.

The Center is currently conducting the "Training of Facilitators on Farm Business School," in coordination with Villar SIPAG Foundation. This is part of the country's commitment to Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the government's mission to improve market access and increase the incomes of market-oriented farmers.

Participants who came from region IV-A, NCR, IV-B and region V are attending the 10-day training which includes lectures, workshops, group exercises, field visits and structured learning exercises on Farm Business School (FBS). They are expected to learn about starting the Farm Business School, keeping records, Basic Taxation on Farming Enterprise, Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies, market survey, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and farm tourism enterprise to name a few.

This training runs from March 3-12, 2020 at ATI Training Hall in this city.
