ATI celebrates 33 years of training, extension milestones

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - Thirty years after the merging of Bureau of Agricultural Extension (BAEx), the Philippine Agricultural Training Council (PATC) and the Philippine Training Centers for Rural Development (PTC-RD), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) commemorates the milestones of delivering agricultural extension to the Filipino farmers and other stakeholders.

To celebrate the momentous event of the Institute, the ATI Regional Training Center-CALABARZON will hold a one-day seminar on urban gardening and blessing of new additional facilities of the Center on January 29, 2020 at the ATI IV-A Training Complex in this city.

The new two buildings, namely, the meat processing and 4H Hub were completed in the last quarter of 2019. Also, a total of new 40 accommodations were added to the dormitory facility of the Center.

Additionally, the Center will conduct an outreach program for the victims of the eruption of Taal volcano. Dubbed as “ATIng Paglingap,” the outreach program will be held at the two barangays in San Luis, Batangas on January 21. Some of the ATI staff will also participate on the repacking of relief goods at the National College of Science and Technology (NCST), Dasmariñas, Cavite on January 24, 2020.
