BATANGAS CITY, Batangas - To give recognition for the outstanding contribution of the Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center and Magsasaka Siyentista (MS) in the implementation and promotion of the Techno Gabay Program (TGP) in CaLaBaRZon, the Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A in partnership with the Provincial Government of Batangas through the Provincial Agriculturist Office of Batangas and Batangas State University conducted the TGP Summit 2019.

Awards and recognition were given during the activity, Best Highlights and Accomplishment Poster, Best Product Display Booth, Outstanding MS and Outstanding FITS Center.

Province of Quezon bagged the award of Best Product Display Booth among the five (5) provinces in the region. FITS Center Imus City, Cavite topped the other 28 posters, while FITS Center Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) Quezon and FITS Center Antipolo City, Rizal ranked as 2nd and 3rd placer, respectively.

FITS Center Magdalena, Laguna and MS Reden Mark F. Costales of FITS Center OPA Laguna hailed as the Outstanding FITS Center and MS during the regional TGP Summit.

All minor award winners received plaque of recognitions and cash prize. Meanwhile, FITS Magdalena, Laguna was also granted an extension project worth of Php 100,000. 00 and Php 50,000.00 for MS Costales.

The awarding was held at the Office of the Veterinary and Agricultural Services (OCVAS), Batangas City, Batangas on November 22, 2019.
