LOS BAÑOS, Laguna - Joy Tricia Mae Corpuz of Philippine Normal University (PNU) South Luzon won the 1st Kabataang OA Quiz Bee on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Corpuz, Region IV-A's delegate, bested 14 other regional contestants at the 1st national quiz bee competition on organic agriculture technologies and practices. She will be receiving a trophy, P25,000.00 cash prize and certificate of recognition in the upcoming National Organic Agriculture Congress on November 12, 2019 in Alfonso, Cavite.

Her mentor, Maria Gracia Ramos Samson, along with ATI Region IV-A Center Director, Ms. Marites Piamonte Cosico, OA Focal Soledad Leal, PASS Section Chief, Sherylou B. Cabuniag-Alfaro, and Planning Officer, Abegail del Rosario showed their support during the quiz contest.

"Kabataang OA Quiz Bee" was adopted and implemented in the national level by the Agricultural Training Institute, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture. It was the brainchild of ATI Region IV-A, which aims to create awareness on organic agriculture in the youth sector.
