SILANG, Cavite- Munting Ilog National High School (MINHS) in Silang, Cavite is the 1st DepEd School certified as Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) in CALABARZON.
Mr. Ric Jayson T. Arreza, ATI IV-A LSA Focal Person, explains that the MINHS as a certified LSA will serve as model or an example to showcase applicable agriculture technologies. He added that the new LSA is seen to help improve capabilities of students, farmers, and other rural community members.
One of the highlights of the event was the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between ATI IV-A and MINHS, witnessed by the teachers, faculty, parents, and students.
Also present during the launching were MINHS Principal Ms. Cristina Austria, Municipal Agriculturist, Ms. Adelia Poblete, MINHS PTA President, Mr. Crispin Belen, ATI IV-A Training Specialist III, Mr. Romeo D. Rodil, Senior Agriculturist Ms. Sherylou C. Alfaro, and 4H Focal Person Mr. Roy Roger Victoria II.
Currently, MINHS has 36 Grade 12, and 44 Grade 11 students taking up Agri-Fishery Arts strand. The unveiling of MINHS as Certified LSA was held on January 23, 2019.
