INDANG, Cavite- With the theme Magsasaka Siyentista (MS): Partners in Promoting Innovative and Sustainable Agricultural Practices, the ATI IV-A in partnership with Cavite State University and Provincial Government of Cavite through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist hold this year the Techno Gabay Program (TGP) Summit highlighting the Magsasaka Siyentista as catalyst of information dissemination in agriculture.

According to the Project Officer Dr. Rolando V. Maningas, the MS is one of the main actors of the TGP tasked to provide information and knowledge to their respective communities.

To showcase the latest and proven technologies and innovations adapted by the MS, some of them shared their best practices during the Farmers' Forum.
MS Reden Mark Costales discussed Farm Tourism, while MS Brian talked about Community Extension Programs.
Other topics discussed were Integrated Farming, Palayamanan, Cacao Production and Processing, Artificial Insemination, Native Pig Production, Dairy Production, Dragon Fruit Production and Processing, Organic Vegetables, and Biogas Production.

Adding to this year's summit is the most-anticipated TGP awards. For 2018, FITS Center Kalayaan, Laguna was hailed as the “Natatanging FITS Center” for their consistent dedicated performance and technology promotion. Meanwhile, Mr. Danilo Noceto, Jr. was awarded as “Natatanging Magsasaka Siyentista” because of his exemplary accomplishments in the delivery of information and technology services in line with his field of expertise.

Special awards were also given to FITS Centers for their outstanding performance.
