DOLORES, Quezon - The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Region IV-A launched Lukong Valley Farms Agriventures Inc., as its newest Learning Site (LS) for Agriculture last July 14, 2018 at Brgy. Pinagdanlayan, Dolores, Quezon.
ATI IV-A staff and invited visitors of farm owner/cooperator, Mr. Orlan Calayag attended the activity, including the Municipal Vice Mayor, Hon. Pepay Mendoza, and the Municipal Agriculturist, Ms. Anniewenda Reyes, who expressed their gratitude to the Center in brief messages.
Also present to witness the inauguration were DA-RFO Regional Executive Director, Engr. Arnel V. De Mesa, Chief of Staff of Senate Committee on Agriculture and Food, Atty. Rhaegee B. Tamana, and Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A Center Director, Ms. Marites Piamonte-Cosico.
The program started with an overview of ATI's learning sites and other extension modalities, discussed by Partnerships Accreditation Service Section Chief, Ms. Sherylou Alfaro. It was followed by the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement, unveiling of the newly-established LS and guided farm tour.
As a Learning Site, Lukong Valley Farms Agriventures Inc. will serve as a model farm in the community that will showcase agricultural technologies, and serve as a training venue for practical and hands-on learning.
To date, ATI Region IV-A has a total of 58 accredited Learning Sites farms in the region.
