ATI IV-A advocates "FAITH" to farmers in Laguna, Batangas province

MALVAR, Batangas - 25 farmers from Brgy. Casile, Cabuyao, Laguna and Batangas province completed the three-day training on Organic Agriculture focusing on "Food Always in the Home" (FAITH) led by Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A in collaboration with Malvar Organic Farmers Agricultural Cooperative.

The training aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants on Organic Agriculture with the concept of FAITH.

The training module involved lectures on the principles of organic agriculture, organic concoctions, and organic vegetable production. Additionally, there were also discussions on Malunggay, Dragon Fruit, and Herbs and Spices production.

Farm planning and record keeping were also given emphasis during the training.Learning site cooperators and retired UPLB professor, Mr. Pablito Villegas served as resource speaker and facilitator.

The training was spearheaded by the Center’s Partnership and Accreditation Service Section (PASS) last June 28-30, 2018 held at Villegas Organic and Hobby Farm, Brgy. San Pedro 1, Malvar, Batangas.
