RBOs convene to review projects, strengthen commitment

Regional officers, provincial coordinators of Rural Improvement Club (RIC) review projects during the RBOs' sectoral meeting at Ato Belen's Farm in San Pablo City, Laguna.

SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna- With the need to continuously update the Rural-Based Organization (RBO) officers and coordinators on the RBO program initiatives for the 2nd semester of 2018, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) IV-A through the Career, Development, and Management Section (CDMS) held the RBOs Regional Officers Meeting and Updates on Accreditation and Certification.

“The one-day workshop aims to define the areas of concerns that need immediate actions and also to renew commit commitment of RBOs in the region”, ATI IV-A Training Specialist II, Ms. Lizbeth L. David, emphasized during the meeting.

Mr. Brian Belen of Ato Belen’s Farm (ABF) discussed the updated accreditation and certification requirements for ATI - Learning Sites, School for Practical Agriculture, and Extension Service Provider certification.

Representatives from 4H Club, Pambansang Mannalon-Maguuma-Magbabaul-Magsasaka ng Pilipinas (P4MP), Magsasaka Siyentista (MS), Volunteer Leaders Association of the Philippines (VLAP), and Rural Improvement Club (RIC) presented the organizations' agreements as an output during the sectoral meeting.

Ms. Mariel Celeste Dayanghirang, ATI IV-A Assistant Center Director, graced the opening program and encouraged the RBOs to submit training or activity proposals to strengthen their organizations.

The activity was held last June 28, 2018 at Ato Belen’s Farm, San Pablo City, Laguna.
