MAJAYJAY, Laguna - To continuously capacitate and empower our partners in Organic Agriculture through development of competitiveness in their field of expertise, the Agricultural Training Institute – Region IV-A conducted the Organic Agriculture Competency Training at Costales Nature Farms, Brgy. Gagalot, Majayjay, Laguna. The training aims to enhance the skills, technical capability, and competencies of agricultural extension workers by acquiring National Certificate (NCII) on Organic Agriculture Production (OAP).

Lectures were carried out by the President and CEO of Costales Nature Farms, Mr. Reden Mark F. Costales and hands-on in the fields of Organic Chicken, Organic Vegetable and Soil Amendments and Organic Concoction/Extracts dubbed as core competencies and Organic Hog Production as elective competency. Various farming operations were performed by the participants including harvesting, land preparation, seed sowing, preparation of different concoctions, feeding of hogs and chicken production.

This training was completed last April 16-18, 2018 in this municipality.
