Urban Agriculture Sparks Interest on Youth

BACOOR CITY, Cavite – To expand awareness on urban agriculture, 77 youth from different cities and municipalities of the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Quezon and the National Capital Region attended the Seminar on Urban Agriculture and Agripreneurship. The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon in partnership with Villar SIPAG (Social Institute for Poverty Alleviation and Governance) Foundation conducted the one-day seminar.

The Seminar on Urban Agriculture and Agripreneurship aims to: (1) introduce urban agriculture to the youth; (2) discuss urban agriculture technologies and practices; and (3) explain the needed skills of an agripreneur. The activity took place at Villar SIPAG Farm School, Bacoor City, Cavite on February 13, 2018.
