SAN PABLO CITY, Laguna - The Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A conducted the graduation ceremony of 4H-AcTIVE (Academic Technology Integration with Values Education) last January 19, 2018. Fourteen 4Hers successfully completed the three-phase program and took competency examination on Alternative Learning System (ALS) and National Competency (NC) II on Organic Agriculture. They were also given livelihood projects based on their needs.
The ceremony was well-attended by organizations that helped in the implementation of the program such as the YMCA-San Pablo City for the delivery of the Department of Education’s ALS program, financial literacy modules and values education; and the ABF Integrated Farms and Agribusiness Center Inc. who hosted the conduct of the program.
ATI Director Dr. Luz A. Taposok, represented by the national RBO Focal person, Ms. Elsa A. Parot addressed the graduates. Meanwhile, an inspirational message was delivered by the Center Director of ATI Region IV-A, Ms. Marites Piamonte Cosico. The students were escorted by their parents and their municipal and provincial coordinators during the awarding of the certificate. The whole implementation of ATI AcTIVE was spearheaded by its project officer and the author, Ms. Mariel Celeste Dayanghirang.
