TAYABAS, Quezon - One hundred twenty (120) farmers attended the mass graduation of ATI Region IV-A Farm Business School (FBS) at St. Jude Coop Hotel, Tayabas City, Quezon last December 20, 2017. Coming from the municipalities of Indang, Cavite, Pagsanjan, Laguna, Tayabas, Quezon, and Alabat, Quezon, the four FBS batches is a convergence initiative of ATI Region IV-A and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) IV-A. This was also the offshoot of the conducted Training-of-Trainers in partnership with Villar SIPAG Foundation.
Graced by Senator Cynthia Villar, Chairman of the Senate Committee of Agriculture and Food, the FBS aims to strengthen the entrepreneurial capacity of the graduates in running their association named Kasaganahan sa Niyugan ay Kaunlaran ng Bayan (KANIB) in Region IV-A. It is also attended by PCA Administrator Mr. Romulo J. Dela Rosa, PCA Regional Manager III Ms. Erlene C. Manojar, PCA Provincial Managers representatives from the local government units of Tayabas City and Alabat, Quezon.
ATI Region IV-A Center Marites Piamonte-Cosico led the delegation in facilitating the graduation ceremony together with Senior Agriculturist Sherylou C. Alfaro and other staff of the center.
