Batangas City, Batangas - To enhance the skills and knowledge of Magsasaka Siyentista (MS) with the latest climate information system and services of the national government, the Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) - Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) held Knowledge Sharing and Learning on Farm Weather Services in the Philippines.
Experts from DOST-PAGASA delivered lectures on Meteorology in Agriculture, Farm Weather Forecasting, Mobile Apps on Weather and Climate Information, Agroclimatic Zoning and Farm Weather Information Products and Services and Tropical Cyclone (TC) Tracking.
Thirty (30) MS from different Farmers Information and Technology Services (FITS) Center in Region IV-A attended the one-day activity on November 20, 2019 at the Office of the Veterinary and Agricultural Services (OCVAS), Batangas City.
