ConGRADs! Over 500 Learners Graduate from School on Air on Organic Agriculture

Antipolo City, Rizal – Dubbed as Talakayang Organiko sa Rizal, 542 learners from city/municipalities of Rizal province graduated from School on Air (SOA) on Organic Agriculture (OA). “I am very grateful sa Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon for this SOA. Honestly, it’s very informative, very helpful, it enlightens me of so many things. Kaya tayo po ay magkaisa sa organikong pagsasaka upang tayo ay may maihain na masarap, masustansya at ligtas na pagkain una sa ating sariling pamilya at makapagbenta ng mga murang organikong produkto sa ating pamilihan,” a testimonial shared by Ms. Ivy P. Refama, one of the graduates and “Natatanging Mag-aaral” from Antipolo City, Rizal.

Aired for 14 weeks over 702 DZAS AM, Talakayang Organiko sa Rizal is a SOA program of ATI CaLaBaRZon in partnership with the Provincial Government of Rizal through Office of the Provincial Agriculturist – Rizal and the Local Government Units of Rizal province. “Naging matagumpay ang programa sa pakikipagtulungan ng iba’t ibang ahensya. Buong-buong tinanggap at niyakap ng probinsya ng Rizal sa pangunguna ng Tanggapan ng Panlalawigang Agrikultor kabilang na ang mga lokal na pamahalaan at Pambayang Agrikultor ng Rizal ang programa. Ang ATI ay patuloy na magsasagawa ng programa para isulong at mapalawak pa ang organikong pagsasaka sa bansa. Ang Talakayang Organiko sa Rizal ay isa lamang sa mga programa na hatid ang impormasyong Organikong Agrikultura,” message delivered by Ms. Marites Piamonte – Cosico, Center Director of ATI CaLaBaRZon, during the graduation ceremony. Guests include Ms. Susan Garcia Say, City Councilor of Antipolo; Mr. Bartolome Rivera, Board Member of 2nd District of Rizal province; and Former Mayor Rodel N. dela Cruz.

Dr. Rolando V. Maningas, Information Services Section Chief of ATI CaLaBaRZon, provided the integration as recap of the activities covered in the program. The graduates received Certificate of Training for completing and passing the requirements of Talakayang Organiko sa Rizal. While, top five (5) from each city/municipality received certificate of recognition, medal and token. Plaque and certificate of appreciation were also awarded to partner agencies and radio teachers.

Talakayang Organiko sa Rizal aired through 702 DZAS AM, a partner radio station, with simulcast streaming on facebook live from July 19, 2019 to October 18, 2019, every Friday at 11:20 am until 11:50 am. The culminating activity transpire on November 19, 2019 at the Sports Educational Hub, Brgy. San Isidro, Antipolo City, Rizal. The SOA OA program aimed to update the learners with appropriate information and technologies on OA.
