PAGBILAO, Quezon - In support to the Rice Extension Services Program (RESP) under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) on its second year of implementation, the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Region IV-A in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) - CALABARZON and VILLAR SIPAG Farm School conducted intensive training entitled, “Training of Trainers on Inbred Rice Seeds Production and Farm Mechanization”. A total of 15 farmers, Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA), School for Practical Agriculture (SPA), Extension Service Provider (ESP) farm owners and schools from the three (3) priority provinces (Laguna, Quezon and Cavite) of RCEF in CALABARZON completed the training.
The recently concluded Training of Trainers on Inbred Rice Seeds Production and Farm Mechanization enhanced the knowledge and skills of the participants on modernized production technologies of high-quality inbred rice and seeds and acquainted them on the implementation procedures of RCEF Farmer Field School (FFS).
QNAS Superintendent Engr. Ceferino Tolentino, TESDA Quezon Provincial Director Dr. Gerardo Marasigan, Ms. Honeylet Familliaran of Villar SIPAG Farm School and ATI CALABARZON Center Director Marites Piamonte-Cosico graced the closing program. They expressed their gratitude and congratulatory to the participants for the eagerness to learn and be updated about the modules of RCEF FFS.
The intensive training transpired on November 9 to 18, 2020 at Quezon National Agricultural School (QNAS) in Pagbilao, Quezon.
