LOS BAÑOS, Laguna - A new batch of Agricultural Development Officers (AgRiDOCs) has completed the five-month season-long experiential course that primes them as rice extensionist and catalyst of farm community transformation.
The AgRiDOCs received their certificate of completion in a graduation ceremony attended by their supervisors and mentors. Prior to their graduation, they were also conferred with badges and certificates for completing the six modules of the training program, as follows:
Module 1: Be Transformed
Module 2: AgRiCool
Module 3: AgRiSurvivor
Module 4: PalaYcheck and PalaYamanan v2.0
Module 5: Rise with Rice
Module 6: Be RICEponsible
Special awards were also given to outstanding AgRiDOCs including, Best in Visual Aids, and Best Presenters (projected and non-projected), and Best Group in Palayan and Gulayan to name a few.
PhilRice Los Baños Director, Rhemilyn Z. Relado who addressed the graduates reminded them of their important roles as AgRiDOCs: game changer, innovation advocate and nation-transformer.
"Isang hamon na dapat nating tingnan sa pagbabalik natin sa ating mga opisina ay ano ang mga pagbabago na dapat natin maintindihan, at kung paano natin mabibigyan ng solusyon o pagpapabuti ang mga ito" Relado added.
The graduation ceremony of "Enabling AgRiDOC, a New Breed of Agricultural Development Officers of the Community" was held on November 11, 2019 in this municipality.
