Teachers and Students Support Urban Agriculture

One of the participants of Seminar on Urban Agriculture receives urban agriculture starter kits.

PILA, Laguna - The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON in partnership with the Municipal Agriculture Office of Pila, Laguna conducted the second batch of Seminar on Urban Agriculture for 4H/RBO on September 18, 2020 via google meet. A total of 20 teachers and students of Don Manuel Rivera Memorial National Highschool participated in the activity. The students were also oriented on the requirements and procedures of 4H Club membership.

Mr. Brian A. Belen, one of ATI CALABARZON Extension Service Providers, discussed topics on urban agriculture technologies through video presentations and virtual open discussion.

Afterwards, participants received urban agriculture starter kits for the establishment of their RBO-based community garden to practice and showcase urban agriculture technologies. The 1st batch of Seminar on Urban Agriculture for 4H/RBO was held on September 11, 2020 in Silang, Cavite.
