e-Learning on Agri-Fisheries introduced to K-12 tracks

Ms. Erica Tanaotanao a Senior K-12 student from Munting ilog NHS takes the Climate Change 101 course at the e-Learning website.

SILANG, Cavite – With the aim of making agriculture and related information more accessible for the next generation of agri-fishery advocates, the ATI Regional Training Center in CaLaBaRZon conducted an e-Learning briefing for senior students and coordinators of Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL) K-12 tracks.

Dr. Rolando V. Maningas, Information Services Section Chief of ATI RTC IV-A led the e-Extension and e-Learning briefing to participants from Munting Ilog National Highschool (NHS) and Lumampong NHS– Main which offer TVL-Agriculture in their K-12 curriculum. The briefing included a hands-on activity which involved creating an account at the site, registering and finishing a course.

Ms. Erica Tanaotanao, a Senior K-12 student from Munting ilog NHS who volunteered to perform the demonstration received a digital copy of her certificate after finishing the Climate Change 101 course at the site.

Meanwhile, Dr. Romeo Endraca, Education Program Supervisor of Cavite Province Division reminded the students to take the opportunity to learn a new modality of learning and share it to their classmates.

To date, there are 54 rolling courses at the e-Learning website offered to Filipinos who are interested to learn various topics related to agriculture, fishery, livestock, and social technology.

This activity was held last September 18, 2018 at Munting Ilog NHS. It is the first batch of the five briefings [one per province] that will be conducted to NHS that offers a TVL-Agriculture in their curriculum.
