CANDELARIA, Quezon – Some 30 elementary school teachers from Candelaria, Quezon successfully completed the Appreciation Course on Organic Agriculture (OA) for Agricators on September 4 – 6, 2018 at Uma Verde Econature Farm, one of the certified Learning Site for Agriculture (LSA) of Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CaLaBaRZon. The graduates are called the Agricultural Educators or ‘Agricators’ with enhanced knowledge and technical capabilities on OA.

The three-day training covers lecture on Philippine National Standards on OA (Updated Version), Organic Vegetable Production, Organic Soil Amendments, Organic Free Range Chicken and Hog Production, Climate Change and Health, Wellness and Nutrition. The Agricators prepared various organic concoctions/extracts as part of hands-on activities.

The Agricators from Candelaria, Quezon is the very 1st batch in CaLaBaRZon region to exceed the course.
