TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - In its effort to maintain quality governance as the primary training and extension arm of the Department of Agriculture, the Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A initiated the “Readiness and Capability Enhancement of ATI Region IV-A Staff on ISO 9001:2015” held on June 10-11 and 13-14, 2019.
This training is an effort to continuously improve the Center’s processes and ensure conformance to the standards, after passing the ISO 9001-2015 certification in December 2018.
One major activity of the week-long training is the Internal Audit Training Course based on ISO 19011:2018. The internal audit is an important component in ensuring optimal performance of a Quality Management System (QMS) and is performed by the personnel within the organization. The training course aims to increase the number of IQA or Internal Quality Auditors at the Center who will be trained to identify gaps and constraints in every section.
Lead auditor, Engr. Paul C. Modoňedo handled the discussion and group exercises for all permanent technical and administrative staff and selected Job Order personnel who are in-charge of records keeping and documentation.
The training course was held at the ATI IV-A Training Hall, Brgy. Lapidario, in this municipality, led by ATI Central Office ISO Team, Ms. Athena Agape Baguisi and Mr. Marco Venise Ronquillo.
