PAGBILAO, Quezon- 30 Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from the province of Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon were updated on Organic Agriculture technologies.

According to Ms. Soledad Leal, Agriculturist II of the Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A, the Training on OA Updates for AEWs aims to enhance the knowledge and technical capability of the participants on OA and its updates.

Mr. Philip Reyes of HappiFarm discussed the various topics including the updated edition of Philippine National Standards (PNS), harvesting and post-harvest technologies of organic fruits and vegetables, safety of organic produce, marketing and fermented plant extracts, and other biological extractions.

Aside from the lecture and discussions, the participants also prepared different concoctions as part of the training activities.

The said training was held on June 6-8, 2018 at Cortijo de Palsabangon, Pagbilao, Quezon.
