TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - To enhance the capacity on the full utilization and effective operation of the Composting Facilities for Biodegradable Wastes (CFBW), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) CALABARZON in partnership with Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) conducted the 1st batch of Capacity Enhancement on the Operations of CFBW on June 8 and 9, 2021. A total of 21 participants from the province of Cavite, particularly Trece Martires City, Bacoor City, Silang and Amadeo, participated in the two-day activity.
The first day of the training focused on the principles and processes of composting and its importance for solid wastes management in their respective communities. The participants also learned the protocols of CFBW. Meanwhile, on the second day, the member-beneficiaries of BSWM visited the composting facilities located at Forest Park, Trece Martires City, Cavite. Ms. Rae Michael Barbosa, Mr. Glenn Raymund Serrano, Ms. Josephine Bagaoisan and Mr. Adrian Manalaysay of BSWM served as the resource persons for the said activity.
Participants were very grateful in attending the activity. Mr. Gregorio Baybay shared, “Thank you sa training na ito. Madami akong natutunan.” While, Ms. Abigail Penalba said, “Ang ganda ng training, well-planned and organized.”
The remaining four (4) batches of Capacity Enhancement on the Operations of CFBW will be held this July, August and September.
