ATI CaLaBaRZon and PhilMech Partners for a Month-Long Training

Participants during the hands-on activity on Technical Capability Enhancement and Resource Person Development on Mechanization and Post-Harvest Technologies for Corn and Selected High Value Crops.

MUÑOZ, NUEVA ECIJA – In support to Agriculture and Fishery Mechanization (AFMech), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Region IV-A in partnership with Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PhilMech) led the Technical Capability Enhancement and Resource Person Development on Mechanization and Post-Harvest Technologies for Corn and Selected High Value Crops. The month-long training was composed of four phases: Phase 1: Knowledge and Skills Development, Phase 2: Resource Person Development and Micro Teaching, Phase 3: Immersion and Understudy and Phase 4: Accreditation and Certification.

Twenty (20) Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) from different provinces in Calabarzon graduated from the said training on April 12, 2019 at Philippine Center for Post-harvest Mechanization (PHilMech). All the participants passed the Phase 4 with flying colors and shall now be accredited by PHilMech as member of the Postharvest and Mechanization Specialist Network (PMSN). The 20 graduates are also certified lecturers on AFMech.

Technical Capability Enhancement and Resource Person Development on Mechanization and Post-Harvest Technologies for Corn and Selected High Value Crops is another innovative activity of ATI Region IV-A.
