Partner ESPs welcome new members, elect set of officers

LUCENA CITY, Quezon - The Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A spearheaded the 1st quarter meeting of the regional Extension Service Provider (ESP) accreditation advisory council last February 7, 2018 at Queen Margarette Hotel, Lucena City. The agenda included the presentation of the functions of the council and internal policies as well as the guidelines for the accreditation of ATI's extension modalities. The highlight of the activity was the introduction of new members of the council namely Ms. Lilibeth Novicio of Cavite State University who replaced Dr. Teddy Tepora, SUC representative and Mr. Raffy Aromin of Indang, Cavite who replaced Mr. Ruderico Unas, private sector representative. An election for chairman and vice chairman was also held during the meeting. Ms. Eugenia M. Buctuanon from BPI - NLRDC was voted as the chairman of the council and Ms. Lilibeth Novicio as the vice-chairman.

Likewise, the Center congratulates Flor's Garden & Nature Haven, Inc. and Ed Tarriela Learning Center and Farm, Inc. located at Brgy. San Jose, Antipolo City as newly approved private Extension Service Providers at the regional level. The regional ESP accreditation advisory council endorsed its application last January 14, 2018 and the national council approved it last February 5, 2018. As such, the aforementioned ESP will be ATI Region IV-A’s partner in the provision of extension services to farmers and fisher folks and their organizations.
