Emerging Local Chocolate Brand Featured in ATI@Home

GUMACA, Quezon - Nine months after the first live seminar of Agricultural Technologies thru Internet at Home commonly known as ATI@Home, Agricultural Training Institute Region IV-A brings back the webinar series this year with new topics.

This 2021 ATI@Home will feature different products of ATI Calabarzon’s certified Learning Sites for Agriculture. Last January 28, 2021, 697 agriculture enthusiasts registered for the first episode of the webinar series entitled, ATI@Home Learning Site for Agriculture Product Series: Tsokolate. The episode tackles Four K Kakao Farm’s process of developing its own chocolate products from cacao into a local brand known as “Tangerine.”

Ms. Marigel Bacalso, Farm Manager of Four K Kakao started the discussion with proper management of cacao trees as their first step in ensuring the best cacao beans are harvested for their chocolates. The webinar also discussed the process of fermenting, drying and sorting cacao beans before it undergo the secondary process of chocolate product-making. The process of the the chocolate products under the Tangerine brand was the highlight of the webinar. Three of their best-selling premium products were presented in the episode: 100% dark chocolate tablea, 60% dark chocolate bar and choco yema balls

This 2021, the public can watch out for five more episodes of ATI@Home Learning Site for Agriculture Product Series to be aired live at ATICalabarzon Facebook page.
