DILIMAN, Quezon City – Mr. Junrey S. Dela Peña, an alumnus of Young Filipino Farm Leaders Training Program in Japan (YFFTPJ) Batch 2013 from Caraga Region, participated in the Japan Agricultural Exchange Council (JAEC) Monitoring held on January 23-25, 2019 at Agricultural Training Institute – Central Office.

The activity aimed to assess the ASEAN young farmers who underwent the training program after returning to Philippines. There were Interviews, field tour (Lukong Valley Farm, Rosario, Quezon) and evaluation to the host farmer which is the YFFTPJ.

It served as a venue for the reunion of the YFFTPJs and their Otousan (trainer in Japan).

“This is an inspiration for me to continue what I have started and what I have applied from the lessons I learned in Japan which includes their technology, culture, and attitude,” Dela Peña said.
