ATI-RTC 1 spearheads RCM Briefing

The Agricultural Training Institute-Regional Training Center 1 (ATI-RTC 1) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 1 (DA-RFO 1) conducted the Rice Crop Manager (RCM) Briefing on May 30- June 1, 2022 at ATI-RTC 1, Tebag East, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan.

The activity capacitated 25 Agricultural Extension Workers from different Local Government Units (LGUs) on the administration of RCM Advisory Services (RCMAS) and ultimately provide printed recommendations to farmers on rice production.

Activities employed in the training were lecture discussions on the evolution of Rice Crop Manager Advisory Service (RCMAS) and hands-on demonstration of its features using the mobile application. Subject matter specialists came from DA-RFO 1. Highlights of the training include the field activity of the participants at Brgy. Cablong, Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan which they were able to conduct interview with farmers and come up with one-page RCM recommendations and measure their farm lots.

“The three-day training is very informative and useful because it will serve as our tool in giving recommendations to our dear farmers that will eventually provide help in increasing their yield”, expressed by Ms. Sheina Abigail G. Valdriz, AEW from San Juan, La Union, during the closing program.
