Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan – The Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center 1 (ATI-RTC 1) conducted Consultation and Planning Workshop with RBO and 4H Coordinators in Region 1 on February 28, 2022 via zoom meeting with a total of 34 attendees.

The activity aimed to present and discuss the Center’s FY 2022 Programs, Projects and Activities (PPAs) for the Rural-Based Organizations and to identify priority areas that are needed in crafting the FY 2023 proposed plans and programs. It also hoped to solicit support and commitments of RBO and 4H coordinators in the realization of the Center’s programs and activities in order to sustain more collaborative initiatives in the agriculture sector.

Presented during the activity were the following: ATI-RTC 1 2021 Accomplishment Report; FY 2022 RBO Work and Financial Plan; FY 2023 Proposed Plans and Programs for RBOs; and other RBO Updates. The New Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) of the 4-H Club of the Philippines, which will serve as reference or guidance of the 4H members, was also discussed by the 4H National President, Mr. Ricmel S. Falqueza.

The Partnerships and Accreditation Services Section through Dr. Grace T. Ventura, Senior Agriculturist, and Ms. Krizel Joy B. Natividad, RBO/4H Focal Person served as the facilitators during the workshop.

RBOs are non-profit organizations that provide a variety of important services to support agricultural and rural development. These organizations act as a conduit for important knowledge and other resources needed to improve rural areas' living conditions. They also serve as partners of the government, embracing current information, technology, and possibilities in the pursuit of agricultural and economic prosperity and spreading it throughout their communities.
