ATI-RTC 1 conducts two batches of Digital Farmers Program 102

STA. BARBARA, PANGASINAN – To encourage farmers in utilizing technologies in farming, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center 1 conducted two batches of Digital Farmers Program (DFP) 102 on October 12-13, 2021 (1st Batch) and October 14-15, 2021 (2nd Batch) via Zoom.


Finishers of DFP 101 accepted the challenge of stepping the higher level of the three-level program, DFP 102. A total of 40 participants attended the training with 20 participants each batch. They learned about identifying advanced digital tools and technologies and describe how they can be used in their daily lives & farming practices. They also learned about e-commerce and how can it help them in their farming practices and marketing their products, so as online transactions. As their outputs, they were able to create their own marketing plan and social media graphic design as their entry to the Social Media Marketing Graphic Design Contest that were judged and tabulated after the training.

The successful conduct of the two batches of DFP 102 will be the last implementation of DFP this year at ATI-RTC 1. Finishers of DFP 102 are expected to be trained through the last level of the program, DFP 103. Since its launch in 2019, DFP has been rolled out nationwide, with over a thousand farmer and youth participants, taking a deep dive on utilizing technologies for farming, advanced agriculture apps, e-commerce, and comprehensive social media marketing for farm business operation.
