ATI Ilocos Region postpones activities due to Covid-19

STA. BARBARA, Pangasinan – The Agricultural Training Institute–Regional Training Center I (ATI-RTC I) postponed its regional activities including, trainings, seminars, meetings and large gatherings due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is also stipulated in ATI Central Office Memorandum Nos. 20-03-107 and 20-03-113 dated 13 March 2020, which suspended all national and regional activities of the agency starting March 15, 2020.

The memorandum was issued as part of the government’s precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 922 dated 8 March 2020 – Declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the country.

Among the activities postponed are the Training on Trainers (TOT) on Inbred Rice and Seed Production and Mechanization, which started last March 9, 2020; Technical Briefing/Info Caravan on RCEF, Briefing of School on-the-Air (SOA) on RCEF; Training on Roselle Production and Processing; Free Seminar on Mushroom Production and Processing; Skills Training on Squash Processing, Labeling and Marketing; Basic Meat Inspection Training Course; Retooling on Local Technical Committee on Organic Agriculture; and 2nd Herbal Agri-Tourism Summit.

Safety of the staffs and clienteles is of utmost concern of the agency. Thus, this postponement of activities shall continue until further notice.

New schedule of activities will be posted on ATI Ilocos Region’s social media accounts once this health crisis is over.
